Guardians of the Range
Dedicated to the Multiple Use of Public Land & the American Way of Life
Mission Statement
To be a positive and effective force in working with government agencies to protect public land grazing, and strengthen the socio-economics of surrounding communities
for future generations.
Our Focus
The Guardians of the Range are a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to sound science and community partnership in public land management. We address grazing issues on behalf
of permittees on the Shoshone & Bighorn National Forests, the Cody and Worland BLM Resource Management areas, and their surrounding communities.
The Guardians of the Range provide information, assistance, partnership and networking opportunities for grazing permit holders, communities, and public land managers.
We strive to fairly and responsibly implement rangeland stewardship practices with balanced interests in the resources and affected economies in the region.
All members of the public are welcome to join and support this effort.
Improving The Future
Your membership in the Guardians of the Range connects you to committed folks with years of experience in livestock grazing, in both the private and public sectors.
Guardians’ leaders are familiar with relevant policies and procedures. They know the land, and what the real socio-economic and cultural contributions of ranching are
to the affected communities and the American way of life.
The organizers of Guardians of the Range recognized the importance of a collective voice and the need to focus on the benefits of livestock grazing.
The Guardians know and accept the responsibility that ranchers and their communities should not allow others to define them, or marginalize their value as guardians
of the range, and as American citizens. Having survived the many ups and downs of ranching, these folks know how to stay the course and improve the outcome. With your
support, we will continue to build on these strengths.
The Guardians utilize a paid Executive Director to professionally assist members in addressing issues.
The Guardians of the Range seek to improve the condition of the range, and strengthen relationships between federal agencies and allotment holders. Guardians bring
accurate information and sound science to the table for these discussions and negotiations.
Guardians of the Range invite you to assist us in this effort. Help us to grow and strengthen our organization by becoming a member today. It takes finances
and commitment to deliver the collective and effective voice of the Guardians of the Range. Please join us in securing the future of stewardship of the land,
ranching, and the American way of life.
